Our Next Medical Mission: Dominican Republic, May 2025!
When I was pregnant, I had multiple ultrasounds and everything looked good. When my baby was born, she had a cleft lip. I was shocked, sad and worried. I didn’t know what to do. When she was a few months old, I saw that Mending Faces was coming to Santo Domingo, so I contacted the hospital. Thank goodness my daughter was able to have the surgery. While it's hard to digest the happenings of a week-long Medical Mission, the volunteers are what make everything exceptional. Regardless of race, religion or country of origin, everyone comes together. When our efforts come together, the results speak for themselves: an impoverished, but extraordinary group of children, have reason and ability to smile and communicate without fear or limitation.
