WHAT WE DO
Mending Faces restores hope and provides a brighter future for
children burdened by cleft lip and cleft palate. Since 2010, we have
completed 20 medical missions, providing life-changing surgeries to
more than 1,000 children and awarding over 50 educational
scholarships.
Most recently, our February mission to Kalibo, Philippines, served 55
children, and our May mission to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic,
provided surgeries for 35 children. Our volunteer team—including
plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, nurses, and outreach
personnel—donates their time and expertise, covering their own travel
expenses to participate.
Our goal And Mission
Our mission is to restore hope and provide a brighter future to
children whose lives are burdened by cleft lip and cleft palate. We
partner with local organizations to deliver essential surgical and
dental care during medical missions, while offering a continuum of
care that includes speech therapy and school scholarships.
Upcoming Missions
Our upcoming 2027 medical missions are scheduled for the Philippines
in January and the Dominican Republic in May.
